Behaviour

We aim for our children to care for and respect each other and their environment.  We expect a high standard of behaviour and believe that children from the earliest age should be taught by parents and teachers to become aware of their responsibilities within the school community.  Most children are able to become self-disciplined but when children fail to respond to our positive approach, we do have a system of sanctions which can be used.  If behaviour becomes a serious problem we always advise parents.  A copy of the school’s Behaviour Policy is available on request.

Our school code forms the basis of expected behaviour in school.

  • We should treat other children and adults fairly and with respect.
  • We should listen to each other and adults and respect the right of other children to learn.
  • We should be caring and friendly to other children and adults and treat them in the way that we would like to be treated.
  • We should behave in a way which keeps ourselves and others safe.
  • We should try our best at everything we do and ask for help when we need it.
  • We should take care of our school equipment and things that belong to others and ourselves.
