Rockets

In Rockets Class the children aim for the stars and as they grow up they are encouraged to become more independent. Pupils are encouraged to be more responsible and have special monitor duties such as helping set up for collective worship, looking after the playground equipment and taking leading roles on Pupil Council, the Eco School Team and as Road Safety Officers.

The basic skills of reading, writing and mathematics are continued to be taught and are reinforced at home with weekly homework. Children use the lap tops to word process, practise skills and to research all areas of the curriculum. We make particular use of the Espresso programme designed for children in the primary school. French is taught and the children also go to Hadleigh swimming pool for two terms every year. In the second half of the Spring Term we will be finding out about the effect the Anglo-Saxon invaders had on the people of Britain.

As from 2013 our school will extend to become part of the two teir system and therefore include pupils in years 5 and 6.  Please find the Schools Organisational Review for further information
